Portsmouth FC launches new community website and online Footee video game to make young fans smarter

Portsmouth FC is excited to announce the launch of its all-new community website, which features Portsmouth Footee, an online football-themed entertainment zone for children that links to the National Curriculum. Portsmouth Footee has been developed in partnership with UK e-learning specialist MotivatEd Ltd and can be accessed at www.pompeystudycentre.org.uk/footee

Portsmouth Footee (Footee) is a club-themed virtual world packed full of fun educational games and quests. Achievements are rewarded by virtual currency, special items, and professional player Super Skills that can be used to enhance the child’s own playable dream team. It sits alongside the Pompey’s community news, gallery and projects web pages to create a comprehensive online portal for all things community and education.

Designed for 7-14-year old fans, Footee is supported by the English FA and features the full Portsmouth squad along with a host of other major UK clubs. Its free-to-access games support learning in mathematics, language, science, geography, and history - as well as helping to develop skills in cross-curricular competences such as health, nutrition, citizenship, teamwork, and digital literacy.

That’s why its great to see a fun site like Footee harness their passion for Pompey to help build their maths and reading skills. Portsmouth Footee is an exciting aspect of the site, offering children a safe, educational and fun Pompey-themed gaming zone. Footee is a great fit with our ‘learning through football’ approach - enabling young fans to express their love of Pompey - whilst having fun and developing their National Curriculm skills.
